Okay, it's an utter lie.
I have plenty of time right now. I relocated across the country from Alberta to Ontario at the beginning of this year to be closer to my husband who is here for work, and now I am working part time as a cashier at a home decorating store.
Believe me, time is something that I have a surplus of.
So, in that time I've been reading a variety of books. More books than I've read in a long time. But have I bothered to blog about any of them?
Nope.
Why is that, you ask?
'Cause I'm lazy. That's why.
So there.
But I'm going to rectify that, because the best way to stay in shape is to exercise and my writing muscles are weak and flabby.
Now, this may come as a surprise to you, but being a cashier is not exactly my dream job. I'm not living up to my personal expectations at this time in my life. What I really want to do is write. Professionally. But that takes time and connections and right now I only have one of those things.
So I will force my written work upon all you poor unsuspecting people.
But I don't want to just blather at you about the books I'm reading. This isn't just about telling you what books I like and don't like. It's about delving deeper. It's about painting a Literary Portrait about the characters, the story, the setting. It's about bringing the books I read into a new perspective that will, hopefully, inspire you to look at them differently yourself.
Currently, I'm reading Mistborn, the first book in the Mistborn Trilogy written by Brandon Sanderson, and as soon as I've finished it I will submit a full report.
Happy reading, fellow bookworms!
I know I don't qualify as a bookworm, unless it was an anorexic bookworm, but almost thou persuadest me to be a bookworm.
ReplyDeleteI'll turn you into a bookworm yet!! Just you wait! ^_^ And audiobooks count, so you're already roped in. Mwhahah!!
DeleteI'm reading War and Peace aloud while nursing. I tried showing her picture books but she's was too fussy. Soon. Soon.
ReplyDeleteShe is but wee! I'm surprised she's okay with War and Peace...but she's probably focussing more on eating anyway.
